I love walking around Tokyo at night. During the day, there's always a sea of people, and it's hard to get pictures of objects in isolation. You usually have to stand around for a few minutes for crowds to clear before getting your shot. My favorite places to shoot at night in Tokyo is central Tokyo, Shinjuku, and Harajuku. My favorite subject? Vending machines and bikes!!
